Learn more about the goals for the first Energy Analysis Forum.

Forum Synopsis

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) Energy Analysis Forum is an ongoing series of events focused on current analytic issues of importance to the nation's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. Future NREL Energy Analysis Forums will promote cross-disciplinary interaction to share knowledge on key topics, discuss trends in analysis tools and methods, and formulate recommendations for a strategic analytic agenda for the coming years. A key component of these events is encouraging connections between analysts and market, technology, and policy experts.

Ninety energy analysts from electric utilities, the renewable power industry and government agencies gathered in Golden to identify ways that energy analysts can supply the innovative insights and information the nation needs to meet current and future energy challenges. Titled The Role of Renewables in Regional Power Markets, the two-day forum featured several timely presentations from nationally recognized speakers on enhancing the role that energy analysis plays in spurring expansion of renewables and energy efficiency.
